Defensive Riding: A Traffic Education Overview for People who Ride Bicycles

This 90-minute virtual event is both lecture and discussion. It is given by state-certified Defensive Driving Instructor and Get Women Cycling's founder, who has been teaching commuter awareness since 2016. This event informs participants of major mobility shifts and changes in the commuter landscape, what traffic laws to be aware of, and must know defensive riding techniques. An overview and the top need-to-know facts will be given in the following categories:

  • City Commuting: Culture, Behavior, and Trends

  • Traffic Rules: Regulations and Exceptions

  • Collisions: Causes, Prevention, Protocol

*Recommended for anyone who commutes by bicycle or who rides a bicycle for work.
